The End As We Know It
Hey guys, It’s Mike. It is with a heavy heart, long nights of thinking and praying, and many amazing memories that I come to you with this news. I know this whole thing will sound cliche to you I’m sure, and you may not even read it all, but I feel these are things that need to be said, and just know they are all from the bottom of my heart. I have decided to call an end to “Mike Goodrick” the band, the solo artist, and everything that it has become. I feel a different call has been placed on my life and that this chapter of my story is now over. I first of all want to assure you that it has nothing to do with people, or fans, or music for that matter. I still live in the same house with these band members, I still love you guys, and I still am madly in love with playing music. I have just felt and battled a different call on my life for awhile now and finally made the decision that I need to follow it. I hope you guys can support me in that. With that being said I just want to say thank you. First and foremost to all of you guys that have ever come out to a show, bought a cd or t shirt, talked to any of us at shows or when u saw us at the mall, any of you that have come out to a date on a tour where no one else showed up, that have talked to us on facebook or myspace, anybody that has ever supported us or me in this journey in any way, shape, or form. THANK YOU! From the bottom of the deepest part of my soul, I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done, and the person I have become because of you. I got to live this dream I had when I got my first guitar in 7th grade. I got to tour the country, I got to play music with my best friends, and I got to do it for a living. This has been the greatest 4 years of my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This journey has been a long, and not always easy, one. There have been huge ups and huge downs. But you guys are the reason I and we kept going. Without you guys none of this would have been possible. It is very sad for me to say goodbye to something that has been my entire life for 4 years, but I do feel as though I have made the right decision. I hope that “Mike Goodrick” has done something for you in your life. Made you smile on a bad day, helped you jam out in the car, or let you know you weren’t alone in feeling the way you were feeling. If it has, it would make me and the rest of the guys’ day if you could post that in a comment below. I love you guys! And I hope the friendship we have created will not go away just because this band has. I seriously can’t thank you enough! -Mike P.S.
